Fontain of Biquinha

One of the points of water supply for the village and its outskirts, It is believed that was created on the reign of D. Afonso Henriques, that at the time, relied mostly of private wells and just one public well. In situation of drought, the population was forced to get water in Jardim Fountain, located two kilometers outside the village. This situation later lead to the construction of Aqueduto da Usseira, one of the first structures we see when we are arriving Óbidos.
