Capinha d’Óbidos

Capinha d’Óbidos is a place where you can find many delicious treats, but it’s most famous for the typical cake which the shop is named after. The Capinha cakes are a delicacy which the original recipe has already at least 140 years old. Passed from generation to generation this secret recipe keeps marveling all that try it.

Traditionally it was a cake that used to be gifted in marriages, by the bride to the guests. The bride would keep a piece to her and supposedly would bring good fortune.
